This position is an outside sales position. The Broker Executive will represent the company in selling Large Group products in New Jersey. The Broker Executive will be responsible for maximizing current distribution channels, working through RFP’s with internal and external contacts, and bringing creative solutions to the market to maximize sales. product. Namely, providing outside, in person focus to the General Agent (wholesale) distribution channel, Direct Agent (retail) distribution channel, running finalist meetings with groups, and properly implementing sold business. The Broker Executive will be expected to focus externally on developing contacts, maintain the RFP cycle along with the life of a proposal, while working hand in hand with underwriting.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Primary point of contact for external customer and broker relationships.
· Grow existing client business relationships by becoming a trusted advisor.
· Builds effective relationships with brokers, consultants and group leaders to maximize sales opportunities.
· Works with Management to establish overall sales and product strategies.
· Understands and meets all strategic Sales initiatives and goals, working collaboratively with management.
· Collaborate with sales, underwriting and operational teams to address sales and account related issues.
· Responsible for strategic and consultative presentations of AmeriHealth New Jersey products and services.
· Provides professional presentations and/or open enrollments (where applicable) to a variety of audiences in various settings.
· Work alongside product, underwriting, and operations to assist in the development of new products.
· Facilitate continued growth of fully insured and self-funded business.
· Develop tools and strategies to compete with other individuals or companies who sell insurance.
· Responsible to maintain active sales license required for position
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Five years of work experience in health insurance sales or marketing where building relationships/repeat customers is essential.
· Demonstrated track record in achieving sales goals
· Proficient - Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Excellent negotiation, presentation, verbal and written communication skills required
· Good work ethic
· Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented as well as above average problem solving, and analytical skills required
· Competent in consultative selling skills
· Experience dealing with outside clients, brokers and General Agent’s
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong working and business relationships
· Ability to manage projects and customer expectations to a successful conclusion is essential
· Active NJ Health & Accident sales license or obtained within 60 days of hire into position
Salary Range:
$66,975 - $111,625
