Broker Executive is an outside sales role and will represent the company in selling small group and consumer products in New Jersey. 

o   Maximizing current broker distribution channels.

o   Creating new ones to maximize sales of the S.E.H. and consumer products.

o   Providing external, in-person focus to the General Agent (wholesale) distribution channel, Direct Agent (retail) distribution channel, and direct-to-consumer/group distribution channel

o   Assists in the development and execution of sales strategy for groups, customers, or prospects

·       Expected to be focusing externally on developing and maximizing these channels no less than four full days a week, with no more than one full day in the office per week.

·       Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required as per the strategy as defined by management

·       Examples of strategies that may require evening, weekend, or holiday commitments are:

o   Daytime/evening open enrollments

o   Sales seminars/vendor fairs

o   Volunteering at external community relations events such as races and concerts

The successful Broker Executive will demonstrate the ability to work well with minimal daily intervention by management, dealing with minimal daily check-ins while on the road.

Qualifications:

·       An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing/a related field, or equivalent experience is recommended. 

·       A minimum of two years’ work experience, preferably in sales or marketing or a fast-paced environment where building relationships/repeat customers is essential.   

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

·       Must have the ability to develop and facilitate presentations. Demonstrated ability to function in a high-volume, highly visible, deadline-oriented environment is essential. Knowledge of AHNJ products, services, and administration is a plus. Health insurance experience preferred.

·       Demonstrated experience with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as CRM packages strongly preferred.

·       Strong strategic and analytical skills

·       Excellent customer and broker relationships

·       Able to work collaboratively with functional areas within the segment.

·       Self-motivated and goal-oriented

·       Flexibility in a variety of settings and ability to work under pressure

·       Able to work independently with a drive to excel

Candidates must pass the State Health, Life, and Workers Compensation (where applicable) License examinations within the first 90 days of employment.  Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable car for extensive visits to account/broker locations.

AmeriHealth New Jersey has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
