Senior Account Executive AHA-R

· Serve as the primary point of contact for external customer relationships
· Work with Management and team to establish segment strategy
· Accountable for development and execution of sales strategy for each group customer
· Work with Associate Account Executive to ensure that all sales and account related issues are addressed
· Build effective relationships with brokers, consultants and group leaders which maximize sales opportunities
· Responsible for strategic and consultative presentations of products to customers and prospects
· Develop and executes proactive, creative and ongoing account initiatives which enhance/maximize sales opportunities
· Provide professional presentations and/or open enrollments (where applicable) to a variety of audiences in various settings
· Understand and meets all strategic initiatives and goals within department, working collaboratively with team
· Develop high level of expertise with competencies to ensure they are modeling the ideal behaviors and skills
· Understand and effectively communicates applicable rating alternatives and funding arrangements
· Actively demonstrates comprehensive understanding of products, the competitive environment and the industry
· Responsible for on-going account management, including renewals, settlements, proposals, benefits and customer reporting. (where applicable)
· Work closely with Sales Management with high degree of responsibility for day-to-day training and development of assigned Associate Account Executives and any new Account Executives.
· Mentor other associates, specifically the Associate Account Executives in sales techniques, account management and strategic thinking to increase others competitive & industry knowledge
· Identify trends and actively seeks to work for resolution of customer issues within segment
· Serve as the primary resource for Special Projects, Corporate Initiatives / teams to represent the Sales, Broker & market perspective.
· Act as a liaison between Sales Management and Staff to effectively communicate and disseminate pertinent Segment information.
· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
· Responsible to maintain active PA and NJ sales license for position.
Qualifications:
· Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
· Minimum of (5) five years’ experience in insurance Account Management / Sales.
· Must possess extensive industry knowledge and is familiar with competitor’s products, services and pricing.
· Must be familiar with the insurance brokerage community and be able to effectively present and represent AmeriHealth Administrator’s position, products and rating methods.
· Must possess organization and planning skills and provide leadership to develop, mentor and motivate associates and provide leadership externally.
· Must have ability to interface effectively with people and be an effective communicator.
· Both PA and NJ State Accident and Health License required. If not available upon date of hire, individual must pass examination and obtain license within the first 60 days of employment.
· Valid driver’s license and a reliable car for extensive visits to account/broker locations required
