Duties: Lead a team of Data Engineers, Business Systems Analysts, Application Developers, and Testers to support the standards and conventions set by Data Architecture and Data Governance teams in the BTS Enterprise Information Management team. Assign work and work schedules, and monitor the completion of the team’s core duties, responsibilities, assignments, and projects. Identify and establish strategic direction for all matters related to data engineering, data acquisition, extracts, reports, application interfaces and enrichment processes. Abide and enforce corporate and information technology policies. Mentor team member and conduct peer reviews. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Independence business processes and requirements. Engage with business teams to understand their needs and develop robust, innovative solutions that exceed our customer’s expectations. Ensure that team members understand not only the technical and data architecture they are working with, but also the business context. May work remotely within normal commuting distance of Philadelphia, PA.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field plus 10 years of post-bachelor engineering & project management experience. Experience must include Data Engineering, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Cloud-based Solutions, Data Warehouse, Web Services and API (Application Programming Interface).
