College Coop Student: Data Insights and Reporting Specialist (Perez)

The Risk Adjustment Analytics Department is responsible for providing actionable insights and reporting to support our operational and clinical team's efforts around risk accuracy for both Medicare Advantage, and the Individual and Small Group markets.
Student Job Description:
In addition to 4 practicums covering MA Risk Adjustment, ACA Risk Adjustment, Claims Based Analytics, and Forecasting and Modeling, contributing activities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining process documents, developing code books and analysis plans, and contributing to strategic insight presentations. A key component of this student co-op role is a final presentation on a member cohort of choice (e.g., low-income seniors 75+, pregnant women receiving subsidy/cost share reduction, under 65 disabled population, etc.).
Through a lens of risk accuracy, the presentation will cover:
o Descriptive statistics o Disease prevalence o Utilization statistics o Quality statistics o Recommendations for achieving Independence (IBX) Mission goal for this population.
Required Skills:
· Intermediate and above in Excel
· Beginner and above in SQL
· Beginner and above in SAS
· Beginner and above in Python
· Beginner and above with Statistical analysis
