This student position is within the Operations Reporting & Analytics team and supports operational improvement initiatives. In this role, you will analyze data for actionable insight for operational leaders that will impact their decisions.

Student Job Description:

The Data Insights & Reporting Analyst co-op position is a vital support role for the Operations team. This role provides actionable data insights and analysis to Operational teams in collaboration with our Informatics Reporting Team. This co-op position is within the Operations Reporting & Analytics team and supports operational improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Interfaces with members of the Operations team to understand the challenges they are facing and what data insights are needed to help them formulate effective solutions • Under supervision, identify key metrics and develop dashboards to track progress of the business and to report/visualize key performance indicators (KPI) in collaboration with stakeholders and other internal teams • Learn how to conduct detailed analyses to provide data-driven, evidenced recommendations to business owners • Translate data into easily consumable trends or patterns for business owners • Drive and support various business processes and provide updates to key stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills • Exposure to data visualizations tools like Tableau • High level of intellectual curiosity. Enjoys digging in on key questions and finding new ones to answer. • Interested in improving communication skills, verbally and in documented formats. Able to present data insights in a comprehensive, concise, logical, and easily digested format.

Preferred Classification: Junior or Senior in College

Majors: business, MIS, Economics, operations management, statistics.

GPA: 3.2
