  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.  Degree in Marketing, Social/Human Sciences, Public Relations, or a related discipline preferred
  • Minimum three years’ experience in social impact design, corporate community relations, project management, community organizing, volunteer management or other related areas.
  • Positive, persuasive and compassionate personality; exquisite communication (verbal/written) and people skills
  • Ability to handle multiple issues and projects in a matrix team approach, requiring significant consultation and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines; well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated project management and analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications
  • Ability to adjust schedule as some night and weekend hours may be required
  • Must have active driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.
  • Familiarity of Philadelphia and surrounding areas business, and community service environment (e.g., community service leaders, non-profit organizations, critical city-wide community service needs, business leaders.) is a plus.
  • Medicare and/or CHIP insurance familiarity a plus but not required
  • Independence has implemented a “Hybrid of Choice” model which provides our associates with the flexibility to choose whether to work remotely, work in the office every day, or work in the office on certain days at their discretion. However, management may require our associates to work from Independence’s physical office locations on certain occasions. This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid of Choice” model. While associates may work remotely, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
