The Product Manager is responsible for the Part D strategy (go-to-market), management, implementation and operational effectiveness of Medicare Advantage supplemental products. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the development of assigned products and ensuring portfolio intent is implemented as designed across various platforms/materials/reference documentation. Product Manager will be versed in building expertise across the following areas: Medicare (MA/OM), industry knowledge/trends, and CMS regulatory guidance.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Medicare Part D prescription drug products, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of CMS regulations, industry trends, and competitive landscape to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
• Partner with key clinical and operational pharmacy teams, risk management, and Stars to achieve business outcomes including impacts to cost of care, risk management, profitability, and Star measures.
• Responsible for the management of assigned individual Medicare Advantage (MA, & MA-PD) supplemental, medical and Part D individual and employer group products.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with multiple vendors to ensure alignment with product and business objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
• Manages vendor/product performance against applicable metrics in reference to administration, enrollment, claims, benefit utilization and market acceptance to identify areas for improvement. Conduct periodic reviews and provide feedback to optimize vendor/product contributions.
• Works collaboratively across Product to ensure portfolio needs and readiness are addressed throughout plan year.
• Provides coordination with PMO, Vendors, Pharmacy, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Operational Teams, Care Management, Provider Contracting, Medical Management, and other external/internal areas on benefit development, administration and implementation.
• Supports bid submission/filing requirement needs with Product, Actuarial, Compliance, and Operational areas.
• Responsible for portfolio inquiries regarding benefits.
• Supports consultation for marketing/promotional materials - including content and for operational and member-facing educational materials to support annual readiness.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of departmental DLP and policies and procedures.
• Ensures accuracy for all deliverables.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related field required, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years related experience. Product management experience in a health care organization preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with Rx prescription drug coverage highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the Part D development process, including discovery, cost of care, risk management and profitability.
• Knowledge of and experience with Medicare program and regulations highly preferred.
• Solid planning, organizational, data analysis, and analytical skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to bring complex projects a successful conclusion.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
Proficient in: Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), Tableau, and other competitive tools
