Sales Reporting Analyst (Hybrid-Greater Philadelphia Region)

The Sales Reporting Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and publishing standard and ad hoc reports for Senior Leadership. In this role, the Analyst will work with various areas within organization to accurately report current data and forecast for upcoming year. The candidate should be self-motivated, flexible, have strong problem-solving and time management skills, and able to work individually as well as in a team environment. The individual should have strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Power BI and SQL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Data Gathering and Synthesis: Collect, analyze, and synthesize information from various departments, including informatics, actuarial, and finance, ensuring data is accurate and provides clear, actionable insights.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across various areas of the organization, to understand business needs and deliver precise membership forecast and analytics insights.
- Report Creation and Presentation: Create and publish well-organized, accurate reports and presentations for stakeholders using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint, ensuring data is thoroughly vetted and clearly communicated.
- Data Validation and Accuracy: Maintain a meticulous focus on validating all data from multiple sources, ensuring high standards of accuracy and completeness in all reports and analysis.
- SQL Query Development: Design and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data integrity and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage Ad-hoc Reporting Requests: Respond to ad-hoc reporting needs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of highly detailed reports that meet business requirements.
- Flexibility and Additional Duties: Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to changing business needs and performing other duties as assigned to support the team and broader organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems/Science or related field preferred plus a minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Microsoft Excel experience (intermediate to advanced user) required
- SQL experience, including writing new queries, and using existing queries
- Power BI experience highly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required, to include the ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports, presentations and executive summaries for senior management meetings
- Proven statistical and analytical experience in corporate environment
- Ability to build relationships across all management levels as well as internal and external constituents
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with little supervision required
- Strong use of judgment and ability to work in ambiguous situations with little direction
- Takes initiative to solve issues with minimal guidance
- Ability to collaborate and influence a process
- Ability to work under tight deadlines

Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania
