Job Summary

The Senior Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Partner is responsible for successfully executing corporate DEI strategy. This involves managing multiple initiatives and action plans simultaneously. Collaborates with leaders throughout the organization to support corporate goals and drive meaningful change. This role reports to the VP, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Responsibilities

·         Support the Head of DEI on implementation on DEI strategies designed to advance IBX.

·         Manages day-to-day operation of associate resource groups and diversity council administration. Partner with Independence University on professional development for co-leaders.

·         Support the management of the DEI Budget, continuously tracking spending and ensuring on-time payment of invoices.

·         Collaborate with partners and stakeholders across the company including, but not limited to HR departments, Communications, Community Affairs, Creative Services, Supplier Diversity, to drive DEI workplace initiatives.

·         Participate in the management of the DEI Dashboard and tracking management team engagement in driving DEI.

·         Partner with Independence University on DEI Institute learning sessions, new hire orientation, and diverse talent development programs.

·         Provide recommendations on how to build employee morale and improve engagement and retention.

·         Proactively mitigate any issues, staying abreast of emerging trends within the organization.

·         Manage the company’s yearly DEI Week programs and events.

·         Manage internal DEI planned recognition and awards.

Evaluation and measurement

·         Consistently measure and evaluate feedback on DEI initiatives. Use defined success measures to track progress, impact, and ROI.

·         Utilize workforce metrics and associate engagement results identify potential “pain points” and opportunities.

·         Manage external Requests for DEI Information and surveys. Provide support for the annual associate engagement survey.

·         Identify and analyze employee concerns, issues, and potential/actual bottlenecks that impede successful outcomes.

Communications

·         Partner with Associate Communications on the development of corporate DEI and associate resource group communications.

·         Provide support for the management of the ARG Council and presentations on DEI topics and internal updates.

·         Manage the DEI Website and Associate Resource Group webpages.

·         Support communications with DEI external partnerships such as 100 Black Men, Diversity Best Practices, etc.

·         Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education

 

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field

 

Experience

 

4+ years of experience in work focused on internal and external DEI and culture work (Required)

        

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 

·         Health care experience or a passion for learning about the industry (Required)

·         Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and serve as a champion of cultural competency

·         Strong presentation, written/verbal communication skills, and experience working with cross-functional teams (Required)

·         Ability to problem solve and work autonomously

·         Experience working in a matrix organization

·         Demonstrated ability to manage time and remain agile in a high performing atmosphere

·         Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with competing deadlines

·         Ability to forge new partnerships that bridge people and organizations

·         Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to see the big picture as well as the intricate details

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound business acumen and strategic judgement

·         Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

·         Strong team player, innovator, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
