Actuarial-Underwriting Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary:

  • Must have demonstrated strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to work with multiple business systems and have a good understanding of systems design. 
  • Primary responsibility will be for the analysis, understanding, documenting of Actuarial and underwriting business requirements. 
  • Taking requirements and making configuration changes in proprietary software to match requirements.  
  • Understand all business processes within Underwriting and Actuarial. 
  • Support testing and change control for actuarial and underwriting enterprise systems.
  • Assist in testing to ensure business requirements are met and software is implemented in a defect free manner. 


  • Must be detail oriented, skilled in problem solving and knowledgeable of insurance concepts and rating techniques. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient SQL skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on data and systems issues.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills. Proficiency in insurance concepts and/or rating techniques is preferred.
