The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will join the Member Experience team to support our member portals and mobile apps as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with product owners, scrum teams, customer service, and others to deliver an exceptional member experience
  • Production support: Assess and research inquiries from multiple business partners for resolution, coordinating with IT and/or vendors, and managing all relevant communication and updates with impacted stakeholders.
  • Identifies potential problems, trends and system enhancements
  • Performs system testing, creating test scenarios, and production checkout
  • Assists in developing processes and performing system administration tasks as needed
  • Assists in determining requirements, impacts, developing documentation, procedures, and guides
  • Serve as an internal expert regarding use of the applications
  • Monitors and tracks systems performance and maintains problem logs. Evaluates and monitors coded data elements. Assists users in understanding business system functions.  

QAULIFICATIONS

Must have demonstrated strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.  Ability to work with multiple business systems and have a good understanding of system design. Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office products and project management tools. Strong oral and written communications skills necessary. Must understand the business environment and associated systems.  Must be detail oriented. Technical writing skills needed. Must be able to present findings to management.  Must be able to create time-lines and work with internal and external departments to gather appropriate information.

  • Health insurance experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • In addition to degree, minimum 3-4 years proven working experience with business systems or equivalent external experience necessary. Strong project management skills needed.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and business system methodology. 
  • Effective communication and analytical skills required to covey complex technical ideas, concepts and applications.
  • Must be detail oriented and understand corporate objectives. Ability to follow through project life cycles. Experience in data analysis, testing and implementation.
  • Works independently on projects, identifies and implements business systems solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Good understanding of available resources to investigate, perform testing, analysis and present initial findings.
  • Strong presentation skills required.

Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania
