Government Markets (Medicare) Program Analyst
Independence is hiring a Government Markets Program Analyst to work in our exciting Medicare Advantage and Affordable Care Act (ACA) area. The Program Analyst’s focus will be on project oversight, managing vendor relationships, reviewing contracts, financials, KPIs, and monitoring and evaluating the programs. To be successful as in this role, you should be able to derive insights from large amounts of data that support and guide optimal program performance.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible to implement and oversee one or more Supplemental programs designed to improve our Medicare and ACA members experience with our health plan and the overall health care system to increase our Risk Adjustment Score.
• Responsible for program goals and program benchmarks.
• Develops reporting and analytics to monitor program performance, drive outcomes and meet goals
• Evaluates the operational and effectiveness of the programs and provides regular summary of program status and enhancement options.
• Markets programs with both internal stakeholders, members, and providers to increase awareness and engagement.
• May manage relationships with internal business partners or external vendors who administer programs, providers, contracts and SLAs.
• Serves as business partner to providers for program oversight and administration
• Supports vendor contract process and invoice tracking
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical, technical, financial, and problem-solving skills
• Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
• Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, SQL Data Tools, or ETL Application Software
• Program, project, or contract management experience preferred
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
• Experience analyzing large data sets
• Knowledge of Medicare/ACA Risk Adjustment and/or Medical Record Retrieval highly preferred
