Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic leader who loves to learn, thrives on innovation, and is open to exploring new ways to achieve our goals. You will lead a team of engineers and be part of both system software management and middleware modernization journeys. This role involves architecting, building, and scaling middle-tier infrastructure and applications, as well as managing enterprise-wide file transfer services (IBM Sterling File Gateway) and various vendor-supplied software products. Your expertise in file transfer and middleware technologies will be crucial in driving technical solutions that support our business goals.

Technologies:

  • Primary Technologies: IBM MFT (SFG/IFG), MuleSoft Anypoint, MQ
  • Additional Technologies: API Management, ActiveBatch, IBM Workload Scheduler, UiPath, MicroFocus Enterprise Server, OAuth2/token-based authentication 

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build, and scale enterprise-wide file transfers and middle-tier infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with business teams, application development teams, and infrastructure teams to provide technical solutions in support of business goals.
  • Provide leadership and direction for a team of engineers supporting middleware and system software solutions.
  • Perform goal setting, performance management, and other administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to key technical directions and strategic decision discussions for middleware and system software solutions.
  • Utilize best practices and provide recommendations to improve applications and system performance.
  • Provide BAU support, including incident, change management, and on-call support.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience and training.
  • 10+ years of experience with file transfer and middleware technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience managing an IT infrastructure team.
  • Strong experience in at least two or more of the mentioned technologies with a solid understanding of file transfer and middleware technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and comfortable providing direction and speaking up to give opinions.
  • Experience with file transfer services, and with Windows and Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with middleware solutions and API management.
  • Experience supporting vendor-supplied software products.

Hybrid

Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
