Oracle EPM Specialist - Hybrid (PA/NJ/DE)
Independence is looking for an Application Developer (Oracle EPM Specialist) to assist with development and support of our suite of Hyperion applications which include the following business processes – Planning, Enterprise Data Management, Profitability and Cost Management, and Strategic Modelling.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support of the Planning, Enterprise Data Management, Profitability & Cost Management and Strategic Modelling applications in the cloud environment
- Analyze problems as assigned and provide technical solutions via technical specifications to address business needs
- Take ownership of data interfaces, automation jobs and other Hyperion processes
- Understand how assigned applications/systems link with other programs/processes along with the overall system architecture and provide recommendations on how to improve existing/proposed processes.
- Adhere to company change management practices, data security policies and procedures.
- Provide end user support on Hyperion Essbase and SmartView.
- Support the monthly application maintenance process.
- Participate in the feasibility analysis for new systems/applications
- Perform Project Management role on all supported projects
- Monitor the operating efficiency of existing application systems and provide proactive maintenance
- Review, analyze, and modify applications, including coding, testing, configuring, and debugging for new Hyperion applications. Maintain records to document the system and revisions
- Provide guidance and/or arrange resources for technical support to address production issues
- Participate in training, as appropriate, on new or revised systems/ applications
- Test own work and contribute to the development of test plans and participate in post-implementation reviews.
- Provide second or third level operational support for production systems when necessary. Write documentation that describes installation and operating procedures.
- Communicate applications changes to technology and functional team members
- Participate in resource estimate requirements and scope for incoming tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or similar discipline, or extensive Hyperion application admin experience (Oracle EPM Cloud experience a plus)
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent technical, analytical and project management skills
- Oracle/Hyperion reporting products (Financial Reports, SmartView for Office, Excel Add-In)
- Minimum one year of system administration experience preferred
- Experience with other technologies like Workday, Peoplesoft, SQL, Tableau
Hybrid
Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
