Mgr Operations Capability
The Operations Capability Manager is responsible for managing, enhancing, and maintaining the operational capabilities required to execute business strategy effectively. This includes leading cross‑functional initiatives, strengthening workforce capabilities, optimizing processes, and ensuring systems and tools support efficient, scalable operations. This role also manages projects and programs end‑to‑end, ensuring capability‑building efforts are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to organizational priorities.
The Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Defining the product vision and roadmap for internal applications, including cross-product and cross-organizational dependencies.
- Assess current operational capabilities and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and opportunities for innovation.
- Documenting and presenting requirements for enhancements or new builds, and supporting technology in the build and implementation of those solutions to be rapidly deployed to production.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and developing a firm understanding of their needs and requirements.
- Creating, maintaining, and prioritizing a backlog of feature requests, and evaluating product progress at each iteration.
- Identifying testing scenarios, performing initial User Acceptance Testing, and coordinating end user testing as needed.
- Providing user support during testing and production incidents, and proactively communicating status to stakeholders.
- Lead and manage projects and programs that support operational capability development, process improvement, or strategic initiatives.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, and success criteria.
- Developing and maintaining appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.
Qualifications - External
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience in product management and/or project management experience
- Demonstrated experience managing complex and cross-functional initiatives including planning, execution, and delivery
- Proven effective communication and analytical skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience.
- Strong decision-making skills with a balanced view of data, domain expertise and cross-functional impacts
- Ability to work across the organization in a matrixed management environment
