Product Manager
This Product Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and operational effectiveness of Medicare Advantage and Supplemental products. This individual will be responsible for ensuring portfolio intent is implemented as designed across various platforms/materials/reference documentation for readiness purposes. Manager will be versed and building expertise across the following areas: Medicare (MA/OM), industry knowledge/trends, and regulatory guidance.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the development and management of individual Medicare Advantage (MA, & MA-PD), Employer Group and Medical Supplement plans.
• Manages vendor/product performance with regard to administration, enrollment, claims, benefit utilization and market acceptance.
• Works collaboratively across Product to ensure portfolio needs and readiness are addressed annually
• Provides coordination with Vendors, Pharmacy, Compliance, Marketing, Enrollment, Claims Coding, Care Management, Provider Contracting, Medical Management, and other external/internal operational areas on benefit administration, implementation, and intent.
• Supports bid submission/filing requirement needs with Product, Legal, Actuarial, Compliance, and Operational areas.
• Responsible for portfolio inquiries regarding benefits
• Supports consultation for marketing/promotional materials - including Web content and for operations education materials to support products.
• Assists with the development of the annual marketing and training materials projects to support annual readiness.
• Manages assigned products and coordinate with operating areas to build successful deployment and address market opportunities
• Assist with the development and maintenance of departmental DLP and policies and procedures.
• Ensures accuracy for all deliverables.
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related field required, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years related experience including vendor management. Product management experience in a health care organization preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with Medicare program and regulations highly preferred.
• Marketing experience in a health plan setting preferred, but not required.
• Solid planning, organization, and analytical skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to bring complex projects a successful conclusion.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
• Proficient in: Microsoft Office software (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), Tableau, and other competitive tools
