Senior Audio Visual Specialist
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology training with 2 to 4 years of experience in desktop support including audio/visual equipment use and set up.
- In depth knowledge and practical application of video conferencing technologies and protocols (H.323, SIP, H.264, etc.)
- General Windows’ operating systems experience.
- General Helpdesk experience. User support in a small to medium size company environment.
- Basic networking understanding and skills including firewall compliance with video standards.
- Ability to deal effectively with senior and mid-level executive/management teams in resolving technical conferencing issues and questions.
- Ability to test, troubleshoot and work independently to resolve both customer and executive issues or problems.
- New AV hardware and software deployments and maintenance.
- Independent problem solving skills.
- Some on-call or after hours work may be required, able to work at a moment’s notice.
- Effective communications skills.
- Ability to think independently and build consensus within their own as well as cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.
Audio Conferencing – Experience with Avaya and other digital voice systems.
Video Conferencing/Collaboration Technologies – Experience with Polycom, Lifesize, Cisco, Microsoft Teams Room System, Surface Hub and other video conferencing equipment providers. Familiarity with video endpoints, and applications for PC, Mac, Android, iOS and others. Evaluate and test various equipment and endpoints for video platform. Polycom RealPresence/Interop Cloud Platform support. Familiar with QoS and how it relates to video conferencing.
Web Conferencing – Good knowledge of MS Teams, GOTOMEETING, WebEx, TeamViewer, Zoom, and other streaming platforms.
Audio/Visual Equipment Support – Configure and troubleshoot laptop/desktop A/V presenter equipment, Polycom RealPresence OnPrem/Interop Cloud infrastructure. Crestron controls, Crestron DM/NVX video switching, Microsoft Teams Room. Setup online alert monitoring of various equipment. Provide technical support for customers that may have issues with software installation or home firewall/router configuration.
Project Management – Assist with project management functions in regard to development, upgrade and delivery of total video conferencing solutions that meet constantly changing business needs.
Event Support – Town Halls, High profile video conferences, and provide AV recommendations to meet event requirements.
