Supervisor of Client Setup

Supervise the team responsible for client group setup processing including participation in corporate projects as needed. Scope includes groups setup, medical benefits, pharmacy, dental, spending and vision setup.  Daily responsibilities include leading team meetings with QA, setup and implementation teams as well as coordinating activities with 3rd party vendor for timely and accurate coding.  Responsibilities include the setup, the development of an effective relationship with vendors, issue resolution and identification of process and resource improvement opportunities.  Includes ensuring timely and accurate setup.  Drives process improvements. Other responsibilities as determined by management.

·    Leads setup activities to ensure accurate and timely client setup.  

  • Mitigates any issues related to group setup.
  • Drives innovative development of new group setup processes for IBC
  • Provides oversight and accountability process improvements, and resource coaching to improve outcomes.
  • Position interfaces with all levels across the organization to obtain support.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, and vendors to facilitate and drive successful client setup.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 
  • Responsible for staff recruitment, selection, training, development and management.
  • Liaises with divisions across the organization to ensure support and effective execution of group setup.
  • Ensure processes are completed in order to meet internal client measures and government regulations and requirements.
  • Works directly with the Manager to establish the strategic direction for the team.
  • Serve as escalation point for group setup issues.
  • Facilitates regularly scheduled meetings with the team to discuss group setup issues and other opportunities or concerns.
  • Creates and maintains a team atmosphere and work environment to promote work productivity.

·    Interfaces, influences and negotiates with all levels, internal and external for group setup and improvement issues.

·    Ensure the professional development of all staff through job assignments and training.

·    Review/monitor performance and reporting data to determine any future challenges and opportunities.

·    Understands Setup tools and works with vendors/BTS to address any issues

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years progressive related experience.
  • Minimum one year experience supervising a fast-paced, deadline driven team.

·    Skilled in utilizing operational and inventory management concepts and tools.

  • Experience in the Health Care Insurance industry and business practices and trends.
  • Ability to lead multiple and varied initiatives and activities simultaneously.
  • Strong analysis, attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to include influencing others and negotiation.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience in innovative problem solving.
  • Strong relationship building and leadership skills.
  • Passion and energy for driving and supporting change.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products and related databases and applications.
  • Strong skills supervising people and teams.
