Client Solutions Specialist
Job Summary
The Client Solutions Specialist is responsible for researching, resolving, and tracking client and partner inquiries in a timely, accurate, and professional manner for all Level Care Health Carpenter Funds. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare operations environment. A successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, accountability, teamwork, and a process-oriented approach while collaborating with internal and external partners to support high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Research, investigate, and resolve daily inquiries accurately and within established department guidelines.
• Monitor assigned inquiries from receipt through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and clear documentation.
• Provide regular status updates on outstanding tasks, open inquiries, and pending follow-up items via email, internal meetings, and virtual client meetings.
• Apply initial training concepts while continuing to learn new processes, systems, and operational requirements.
• Escalate issues, risks, or barriers to leadership as appropriate to support timely client or partner communication.
• Collaborate with senior staff, leads, supervisors, and cross-functional partners to coordinate issue resolution.
• Interact professionally with internal teams and external partners across related departments to obtain information and resolve inquiries.
• Identify, track, and report recurring trends, system issues, or process concerns related to inquiry volume and resolution.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of self-funded health insurance products and how they work.
• Ability to think critically, analyze information, and resolve problems effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurately in a high-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and other business technology tools.
• Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively, and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Plan-to-plan experience is preferred.
Education and Experience
• Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in claims research, enrollment, customer service, or a related healthcare operations function.
Hybrid
Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
