The Director, Business Solutions within the Client Solutions vertical of Informatics, leads development of to support IBC’s clinical, operational and marketing programs. The Director develops methodologies and analyses to solve complex operational problems and to provide information for optimizing performance and increasing value of IBC products and services using rigorous data-driven and statistical processes. The Director collaborates with multiple business partners in the organization to identify needs, develop advanced analytical modules and support implementation and deployment of tools for internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Analyzing, modeling, and forecasting of business performance trends to improve key performance indicators, including providing insight on the expected impact of emerging internal and external drivers, such implementation of new processes and programs, economic indicators.

  • In collaboration with marketing developing effective and proven customer segmentation approaches for optimized delivery of programs and services to achieve clinical outcomes and business objectives.

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of individual contributors; establish and maintain effective collaboration practices with partners across the enterprise.

  • Maintain current knowledge of issues, methods, and developments in health-care related statistical, econometric, program evaluation, and predictive modeling techniques.

  • Work with external research partners and business partners to incorporate external tools and capabilities into our analytics strategy.

  • Communicate analytic findings and insight to a variety of analytic and business audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent organization, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining budgets, policies, procedures and standards.

  • Experience supporting Managed Care, Finance or Account Reporting desired.

  • IBC business knowledge preferred.

 

Required Skills:

The candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive professional and technical experience conducting retrospective analysis of data and developing.  Understanding of the health care delivery system, population health management approaches, and intervention design. Excellent analytical abilities with in-depth expertise in statistics and simulation modeling.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to effectively interact with non-analytic audiences and impact decision-making based on analytic findings.  Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, motivate others, and function in a complex and evolving environment


Qualifications:

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Mathematics/Public Health, Business/Actuarial or a discipline relevant to application of statistical analysis.

  • At least 10 years healthcare experience

  • Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in the health care analytic environment, with a minimum of 3 years management experience.

  • Significant experience in health care analytics, including health services research, medical cost analysis, provider reimbursement, employer group reporting, and benefit analysis.
