Responsibilities: 

·    Lead small to medium distributed testing teams, typically employing Test Leads to oversee sub-teams.

·    Conduct cost estimates and report testing and overruns. Provide direction to teams on quality, quality measurement and process guidelines.

·    Coordinate with various departments for testing projects.

·    Orchestrate activities of multiple testing teams that share resources (e.g., test environments) to ensure that synergies are leveraged and conflicts are avoided.

·    Customize organizational standard QA process and implement it in projects.

·    Identify meaningful metrics for testing, establish metrics program and use collected metrics information for decision-making.

·    Mitigate risks and issues escalated by testing team, Test Leads or other stakeholders.

·    Champion a ‘continuous improvement’ approach at project and organizational level.

·    Manage client relations at the project level.

·    Facilitate Root Cause Analysis of defects at the application level and work with Release coordinator to drive improvements

·    Define and Enforce Test Standards. Ensure compliance to testing related guidelines, standards and policies within the team

·    Review the work done by the team members and assume complete ownership for the quality of the deliverables

Qualifications:

·    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

·    10+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, release management or similar

·    Industry-recognized certification in the areas of Project Management, QA and testing (e.g., CSTE, CSQA, CQE, or PMP) preferred.

·    Knowledge of and experience using test automation tools such as HP Quick Test Pro, Rational Functional Tester, Compuware QA Run

·    Must have an Android or iOS device which is compatible with the free Microsoft Authenticator app.

Hybrid

Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
