Summer Intern - Business Planning Specialist
Job Description:
The Business Planning Specialist will support the AmeriHealth President’s team on strategic initiatives in the areas of business development, operations, sales support, and provider network strategy. This rotational-type internship will expose the intern to four different teams who all support AmeriHealth’s mission to be the best and easiest company to do business with.
Some projects that this role will work on will include new product development, vendor integrations, and new partnership opportunities.
Day-to-day tasks include:
Creation of presentations
Help develop training for support teams
Investigating issues and providing resolution
Researching potential vendors and partnerships
Contacting providers to set up meetings
Reviewing spreadsheets to find patterns/issues
Organizing meetings and collecting next steps
Reporting out to members of senior leadership
This position will be exposed to all levels of senior leadership at AmeriHealth. The applicant should be comfortable speaking to an executive audience and possess the ability to communicate complex issues in an understandable way.
Qualifications:
Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
Strong writing skills.
Project management experience.
Analytical thinking.
Ability to work in agile environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
