Supervisor Client Setup

  • Supervises team charged with processing client setup transactions. Monitors team setup and vendor activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Mitigation of any escalations related to set up.
  • Processes client set up transactions. 
  • Executes strategy defined by Director and Manager.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Consumer Business, Legal, Underwriting, Actuarial, Service Operations, Communications and Brokers to facilitate and drive successful set up.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for staff recruitment, selection, training, development and management.
  • Liaises with divisions across the organization to ensure support and effective execution.
  • Ensure processes are completed in order to meet internal client measures.
  • Maintain documentation to support team functions and responsibilities. Develop additional support documentation as necessary.
  • Act as primary client set up contact.
  • Serve as escalation point to analyze set up issues.
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with Management team to discuss set up issues, prioritization changes and other customer concerns.
  • Creates and maintains a team atmosphere and work environment to promote work productivity.
  • Interfaces with all levels, internal and external for set up.
  • Ensure the professional development of all staff through job assignments and training, recommendations for employee performance appraisals, salary changes, promotions, transfers and/or terminations.
  • Review/monitor performance and reporting data to determine any future challenges and opportunities.



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.


  • Minimum 6 years progressive related experience with demonstrated experience in operational functions.
  • Experience in the Health Care Insurance industry and health insurance regulations, business practices and trends.
